Mission Statement

Our mission is to effectively manage and maintain recreational parks, facilities and programs to serve the citizens in and around the Litchfield area.

About Us

The Litchfield Park District was established in 1944 to help fulfill the dreams of the City fathers in providing more adequate park and swimming facilities. With the help of many of the town’s citizens, the mission of the Park District has become successful.

Over the years, the Park District has significantly enhanced the historical Walton Park and its lake.

The Park District has added several more parks for the community to enjoy, including the following: Davis Park, which also consists of the Litchfield Senior Citizen and community Center, the Memorial Pool, tennis / pickleball courts, and The Bark Park; Shalk field which includes 2 baseball fields and the Skate park; Echlin park with Corwin Field; Plummer Park, and the archery range.

These parks offer the public a variety of activities for all age groups.
