Located at 10207 Niemanville Trail, Walton Park is owned by the City of Litchfield and maintained by the Litchfield Park District.  This park is a favorite to many and is located two miles past the Community Center at South State Street.  This is an 11 acre park with a 40 acre lake.  The Park is open to the public from April 1 to October 31 durig the hours of 8am - 10:30pm. 

Walton Park is ideal for hiking, picnicking and enjoying the outdoors.  It offers open picnic areas, four pavilions with barbeque grills, picnic tables, playground equipment, a lighted softball/baseball diamond, a basketball court, horseshoe pits, and disc golf.  The main pavilions offers restrooms, electricity, and water.

Additionally, a handicap walkway leads the way to two observation decks overlooking the lake with a full view of the wildlife and sunsets.  Fising is allowed but no swimming.  Canoes, row boats or boats with a trolling motor are allowed on the lake.
